This place serves North Indian fare, focusing on Punjabi dishes in a cozy setting. I enjoyed the distinct Indian-style decor, the Desi humor on the restaurant's walls and the menu (which may not be as relatable to non-Indians), and the comfortable couch-style seating, which made me feel at home! We went for a few Punjabi-style dishes: (Amritsari Fish, the Kulcha that came with a side of Dal Bukhara, and Punjabi Chicken Curry. Everything was creamy and delicious, and we left satisfied! Will definitely be back for more.

This place is delicious!!!!! This is the best Indian food I have had around the Raleigh/Durham area. You will not be disappointed. The food is hot. Great portions great flavor. Wowwww. I will definitely come back here if I am in the area. Just one thing. If you can just add something in the front to make the restaurant stand out. Maybe an extra sign with lights or a string of light bulbs.. you would attract more people. Especially at night. We thought the restaurant was closed until we walked up to it. Overall. Delicious. No regrets. Staff is nice. The seating is amazing.

Urban Turban in Durham is a gem for authentic North Indian and Punjabi cuisine! The value for money is unbeatable—generous portions, reasonable prices, and flavors that transport you straight to India. Their Maharaja naan is hands down the best naan I’ve had across three continents! The menu is creative, with dishes prepared just like they are back home.
